PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a high-intensity sweetener-containing beverage and a method thereof, in more details, the high-intensity sweetener-containing beverage improved in the taste quality of a high-intensity sweetener, and the method thereof.SOLUTION: A high-intensity sweetener-containing beverage containing an acid taste imparting substance and a bitterness imparting substance is a beverage which is improved in the taste quality of a high-intensity sweetener, and in which the bitterness imparting substance is quassin and/or iso-α acid. The high-intensity sweetener-containing beverage improved in the taste quality of the beverage contains the high-intensity sweetener of a concentration having sweetness equal to that of sucrose of 0.5-15 wt.%, and has the acid-taste imparting substance with an acidity of 0.01-0.4%, and the quassin of 0.02 to less than 0.1 ppm. In the beverage, the high-intensity sweetener is a combination of acesulfame potassium and sucralose, and a weight ratio of the combination is preferably (1:120)-(1:3,000).SELECTED DRAWING: None
