Abstract:

To provide a novel SNP (single nucleotide polymorphism) analysis method (i.e. SNP typing method), capable of detecting with efficiency and high accuracy SNP in a target DNA, under the conditions where a double strand is formed by the hybridization of a probe DNA that has an SNP portion with the target DNA.

A double-stranded DNA complex is formed by hybridizing the probe DNA having the SNP portion with the target DNA, and a photocurrent generated in the double-strand DNA complex is measured to detect a base in the SNP portion in the target DNA.
