To provide a mating loom designed to weave a Tatami matting by threading warps with rush as wefts in higher speed.
This Tatami matting loom works as follows: (1) a feed roll 2 functioning to project a rush 4 to a weft guide is rotated with an inverter motor 6 revolving independently from its main shaft 5, (2) reed cranks 7 or weft guide cranks 14 are disused on both sides of a loom body, and the respective inner and outer positions on the left side and right side of the frame 8 of the loom body are provided with bearings 9 and penetrated with the main shaft 5, whose rotational motion is transmitted to the respective cranks 7, 14, (3) the hole of a weft guide pawl 1 to be threaded with a rush 4 projected from the feed roll 2 is narrowed to about 5 mm, and the interval between the wet guide pawls 1 are narrowed to about 10 mm, and (4) the inaction of the rush 4 projected from the feed roll 2 is detected based on the fact that an electrostatic sensor 3 installed between the exit of the feed roll 2 and the weft guide does not react to the projected timing of the rush 4.
