Title:
HOLDING BRAKE FOR MOTOR
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH09331654
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

To provide a holding brake for motor which makes a lower noise while satisfying the requirement for reduction in size.

Friction plates 4 which do not rotate relatively with rotor hubs 2 in the circumferential direction of the rotor hubs 2 but can move toward a shaft center are set on outer surfaces of the rotor hubs 2 fastened to an outer surface of a rotary shaft of a motor through interlocking sections 3. Outer plates 5 are counterposed on one face of the friction plates 4 and are fastened to a fastened system. Meanwhile, inner plates 6 are counterposed on the other face of the friction plates 4 so that they can move in the axis direction of the rotary shaft. Electromagnets 7 for attracting the inner plates are so located on the fastened system as to face the inner plates 6. And, springs 8 are installed which separate the inner plates 6 from the electromagnets 7 when the electromagnets 7 are not excited. Ring-shaped plate springs 11 are located in the circumferential direction over the rotor hubs 2 and the friction boards 4. The plate springs 11 are installed at equal intervals in the circumferential direction and are fastened to the rotor hub 2 and the friction board 4 located on the opposite side.
