Title:
HOOK-AND-LOOP FASTENER FEMALE MATERIAL AND ITS PRODUCTION
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH10165207
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

To make engagement stronger by specifying the initial engagement strength of a hook-and-loop female material formed with loops by a water punch at a spun- bonded nonwoven fabric consisting of synthetic fibers of specific METSUKE (unit).

The hook-and-loop female material consists of the spun-bonded nonwoven fabric of the synthetic fibers having METSUKE (unit) of 20 to 200g/m2. The many loops are formed by the water punch on at least its one surface. The initial engagement strength of these loops is ≥30N/5cm width and the loops play the role as the female material of the hook-and-loop female material. If the METSUKE is below 30G/m3, the fiber quantity is small and the strength as a sheet is not sufficiently obtainable. If, on the other hand, the METSUKE exceeds 200g/m2, columnar flow does not easily penetrate the fabric at the time of the water punching and the linkage of the fibers is insufficient, thereby making it impossible to obtain the sufficient strength as the spun-bonded nonwoven fabric. If the spun-bonded nonwoven fabric and staple fiber nonwoven fabric are laminated, the total of both is preferably in a range of 30 to 300g/m2. The METSUKE (unit) of the staple fiber nonwoven fabric is preferably in a range of 30 to 200g/m2.
