Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To inexpensively execute a high aluminum-contg. highcorrosion resistant hot dip zinc-aluminum alloy plating with high operability by one stage and to apply a smooth and beautiful plating free from unplating on the surface of a steel material.
SOLUTION: A steel material freed from an oxidized film in pretreatment is dipped into a hot dip flux bath in a single tank, is dipped into a hot dip zinc-aluminum alloy bath in an another tank and is applied with alloy plating. The hot dip flux bath has a flux compsn. composed of 5 to 25 wt.% chloride of alkali metal or alkaline-earth metal represented by sodium chloride, and the balance zinc chloride or a flux compsn. obtd. by adding the flux having the compsn. with the fluoride of alkali metal represented by sodium fluoride in the ratio of 1 to 5 wt.%.
