To provide a new RFID tag housing structure and an RFID tag installation structure utilizing it where, even if an RFID tag is housed in a vessel of a conductive material such as a metal of high mechanical strength, the RFID tag can communicate with a read/write terminal device and the like outside of the vessel.
An RFID tag 1a is housed in an opening part 7 of an vessel main body 5 of a conductive material. A lid 11 of a conductive material is fixed to the vessel main body 5 using a vis 10 to cover the entire perimeter of the RFID tag 1a. A magnetic flux leakage path 12 is formed on a division surface between the vessel main body 5 and the lid 11. The leakage magnetic flux passing the magnetic flux leakage path 12 is used for communication between the RFID tag 1a and an external read/write terminal device 9 and the like.
