To provide a method for producing a hair band made of a rubber cord while easily preventing the fray of the braided cord at an end of the rubber cord and provide a rubber cord hair band produced by the method.

The hair band made of a rubber cord is produced by successively performing a heating step to heat a rubber cord composed of a rubber string and a tubular outer skin member coaxially encircling the rubber string and integrate the outer skin member to the rubber, a cutting step to cut the heated rubber cord to a prescribed length, an application step to apply an adhesive to an end of the rubber cord cut to a prescribed length and a bonding step to bond both ends of the rubber cord to form a rubber cord ring.
