Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide a wire for reinforcing rubber improved in wet adhesion to rubber without impairing the wife drawing workability.
CONSTITUTION: This wire for reinforcing rubber is obtained by forming a brass layer on the surface of a steel wire, forming a nickel layer on the surface thereof, drawing the wire from a die in a wire drawing lubricant containing a triazinethiol derivative, carrying out the wire drawing working and forming a coating layer in which the brass is alloyed with nickel and the nickel composition is high on the surface side and reduced to the interior and a layer treated with the triazinethiol.
