Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hybrid type metal melting furnace capable of distributing a burner flame in a wide range of a crucible space as uniform as possible.SOLUTION: A hybrid type metal melting furnace comprises a crucible 10, a furnace cover 20, oxygen burners supported at the furnace cover and induction heating means. The furnace cover 20 is provided with a plurality of oxygen burners 21A, 21B and 21C so as to enclose a central axis C of the crucible. Each of the oxygen burners is inclined in such a way that an orientation of an injection port of each of the burners as seen from a top plan view of the crucible may form a horizontal angle θ1 (provided that θ1 is an acute angle) with respect to a radial direction R of the crucible and an orientation of an injection port of each of the burners as seen from a side elevational view of each of the burners may form a vertical angle θ2 (provided that θ2 is an acute angle) with respect to a vertical line V.
