Title:
HYDRAULIC CONTINUOUSLY VARIABLE TRANSMISSION
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3448337
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To improve the service life of a thrust bearing by reducing the reaction force of a plunger for a motor to be applied to a thrust bearing to support a rear cover, and reduce the cost by dispensing with a thrust bearing exclusive for a supporting shaft.
CONSTITUTION: In a hydraulic continuously variable transmission, a ring 49 is interposed between an outward flange-shaped supporting part 25b formed on a supporting shaft 25 to support a hydraulic distributing ring 29 and a rear cover 23, the supporting part 25b is fitted to a fitting surface 49b of the ring 49 in a relatively movable manner in the axial direction, the rear end surface of the ring 49 is locked directly or through a buffer 55 to a stationary case member on the rear side, and the ring 49 is supported by the inner circumferential hole of the rear cover 23 in a rotatable and relatively movable manner in the axial direction through a bearing 48. Apart of the reaction force of the plunger for the motor is received by a stationary case member through the ring 49 to reduce the thrust force on the bearing.
