Abstract:

To obtain a hydrolyzable paper capable of withstanding water content in dirt, but being decomposed by a large amount of water and throwing into flushing toilet by including polyvinyl alcohol as a binder, a sulfuric acid salt and a solubilizing auxiliary of polyvinyl alcohol.

This hydrolyzable paper is obtained by including polyvinyl alcohol as a binder, a sulfuric acid salt and a solubilizing auxiliary of polyvinyl alcohol (preferably sorbic acid, a rhodan salt, 1,3-butylene glycol, propylene glycol, oleyl alcohol or isopropyl alcohol). The paper can be used as sewage treating paper for bedpan and diaper liner.
