Abstract:
To provide an ice making method capable of effectively and smoothly ice making ice pieces with desired ice temperature and/or desired ice thickness without causing problems in a crushed ice stage and a transportation stage with regard to the amount of ice making per required unit time in a case of transporting and using ice particles which are crushed ice pieces made from produced ice.SOLUTION: An ice making method in which cooling feed water flowing through the ice making surface with a coolant to form ice; desiccating ice formed on the ice making surface as ice pieces; and crushing the desiccated ice to ice particles, the ice making method comprises: a stage of presetting the required ice making amount per unit time and the required ice piece temperature; and a stage of adjusting the formation rate of ice on the ice making surface and the desiccating rate from the ice making surface of formed ice, depending on the required maximum ice thickness and required maximum moisture content, and based on the amount of ice making required per unit time and the required ice pieces temperature.
