Abstract:
To provide a technology to present numerical information for every sheet to determine the life of a paper feed roller.SOLUTION: An image forming apparatus (100) comprises: a plurality of paper feed units (101) for storing sheets; a plurality of pairs of detection units (104, 106) that are respectively installed along sheet conveyance paths for the plurality of paper feeding units (101); a control unit that controls the image forming apparatus (100); and a monitor that displays information on each of the plurality of paper feeding units. The control unit acquires, from each of the plurality of pairs of detection units (104, 106), information on the time required for each of the plurality of paper feeding units (101) to convey the sheets, and calculates numerical information on the degree of deterioration of each of the plurality of paper feeding units (101) on the basis of the information on the time required for each of the plurality of paper feeding units (101) to convey the sheets and a reference value determined in advance for each of the plurality of paper feeding units (101).
