Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a cleaning failure from occurring when a cleaning member having a cured part is used.SOLUTION: A charging member includes a conductive support, at least one elastic layer arranged around the conductive support, and a plurality of projections formed on a surface of the elastic layer in contact with a surface of a photoreceptor. The projections are elastically deformed by a predetermined pressing force, and form a dischargeable gap between the photoreceptor and the charging member. A cleaning member includes an elastic part, and a cured part formed by curing the elastic part and coming into contact with the photoreceptor.
