Abstract:
To solve a problem that a portion of a roll sheet from the end thereof to a recording head is wasted, since printing is stopped when the end is detected.
An image forming apparatus includes: a non-adhering roll end detection sensor for detecting an end of a roll sheet, the end being not fixed to a core member; and an entrance sensor arranged on this side of a nip part between a transport roller and a pressure roller, for detecting the roll sheet. When a roll end is detected by the non-adhering roll end detection sensor, the roll sheet is intermittently fed to continuously perform an image forming operation until the end of the roll sheet passes by the position of the entrance sensor and the entrance sensor turned off.
