Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming device enabled to prevent occurrence of down time even in the case of occurrence of a sheet slipping off when forming images continuously on both sides of plural sheets.SOLUTION: An image forming device includes: an inversion sensor for detecting presence of a sheet at an inversion standby position; and a control part 40 (a CPU 40) for controlling a transport member on the basis of outputs of a position sensor and the inversion sensor. Further, the control part 40 includes: jam determination means 43 for determining a jam on the basis of an output of the position sensor; and slip-off determination means 44 for determining an event of a sheet slipping off from an inversion member when the inversion sensor detects absence of a sheet, so that the slip-off determination means 44, when determining an occurrence of slip-off, cancels a jam determination by invalidating the position sensor for the sheet that has been determined as the slip-off, and continues a transport operation of the transport member.
