To provide an image output device which appropriately judges the residual life of a component in compliance with an operating status and notifies an operator of the judgement results.

This image output device 1 comprises the following components: a working level detection part 4 which detects the working level of each component with due life; a periodical working level judgement part 5 which judges the detected working level of each component at every stage per specified period; a residual life detection part 6 which detects the residual life of each component; a judgement part 7 for replacing the component with due life which judges whether the residual life of each component is appropriate in compliance with the working level per stage of each component, and thereby, judges whether it is necessary to exchange at least one component, and further, sends a required exchange notice to the operator by e-mail to the effect that the replacement of the component with due life intended for exchange is prompted. Consequently, it is possible to appropriately judge whether or not the exchange of the component is necessary considering its working condition and certainly exchange the component at a desirable time.
