Abstract:
PURPOSE:To obtain a highly reliable image processing apparatus by computing the reliability of obtained data when the three-dimensional shape of an object is measured by picking up stereo images. CONSTITUTION:Two right and left stereo images of a fundus which are picked up with a CCD 11 are inputted into computer 13 from a slide scanner 12. Then, the papilla part of the optic nerve is detected. The positions of both stereo images are corrected. The right and left slide images of the stereo images are the images which are picked up at positions which are separated by the specified distance at the right and left sides. The positions of the specified parts in the images on the slides are finely deviated. At this time, e.g. the image which is picked up from the left is used as the reference, and the relative position deviation of the right image is corrected. Then, the three-dimensional measured value of the papilla part of the optic nerve and the uncertainty of the measured value are computed. The three-dimensional display of the shape of the papilla part and the cross section and the like are shown in various shapes. The uncertainty is displayed in different colors.
