Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve such a problem that sheets tilted during transportation are discharged without being aligned, and it takes time and effort to arrange the discharged sheets.SOLUTION: An image reader includes sheet feeding means for feeding sheets, image reading means for reading the image of a sheet fed by the sheet feeding means, paper discharge placement means for placing sheets, multiple output rollers located in the upstream of the paper discharge placement means and controllable individually, and an adjustment mechanism for detecting a skew amount of a sheet, and rotating the multiple output rollers at speeds, different from each other, so as to correct the skew amount of the sheet, based on the detected skew amount. Skew amount detection means for detecting a skew amount of the sheet is provided in the vicinity of the multiple output rollers.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
