To provide an imaging apparatus capable of easily specifying a position of an electronic shutter scratch and correcting the scratch.

An imaging apparatus includes an imaging device 5 having a charge transfer part; a drive part 12 sending electronic shutter signals to the imaging device 5; an electronic shutter scratch coordinates calculation part 16; and an electronic shutter scratch correction part 22. The electronic shutter scratch coordinates calculation part 16 obtains information on shutter stop timing of which the electronic shutter signals are stopped being sent, transfer start timing of which the charge transferring is started by the charge transfer part, and a transferring pattern made by the charge transfer part within a frame period, which is a period to read out one frame of a moving image from the imaging device 5, and calculates coordinates of the electronic shutter scratch to be caused by an electronic shutter signal in one frame, based on the obtained information. The electronic shutter scratch correction part 22 corrects the electronic shutter scratch according to the information on calculated coordinates of the electronic shutter scratch.
