To provide an imaging apparatus hard to damage and capable of cost cutting, by simplifying the configuration of a half mirror with respect to the imaging apparatus, which can offer a through image while the half mirror is arranged inside the imaging light path.

A half mirror 201 for reflecting object luminous flux to CCD 221 and leading transmission light to a ranging/photometry sensor 217 is fixed inside a mirror box, and a total reflection mirror 202, which can be moved at the rear face of the half mirror 201 and at a position evacuated from the optical path of lenses 101a, 101b, is provided. Upon display of a through image, the total reflection mirror 202 is located at the evacuated position, and during imaging, the total reflection mirror 202 is moved to the rear face of the half mirror 201 so that all of the objective luminous flux are led to the CCD 221.
