Abstract:
PURPOSE: To correct spherical aberration at a focal distance causing deteriorated spherical aberration by limiting an opening of an iris used to adjust exposure of an object image in response to an operating position of a zoom lens varying a magnification of the object image. CONSTITUTION: An exposure control circuit 13 is provided with a data table 22 storing open aperture data for correcting spherical aberration for a lens and the table 22 is controlled by a logic control circuit 20 and an iris control section 13c is controlled based on output data from the data table 22 to control the aperture. When a photographer operates a zoom SW 21 for zooming, a zoom drive circuit 19 drives a zoom motor 18, a zoom encoder 17 detects a zoom position and the logic control circuit 20 gives the position signal to the exposure control circuit 13. Then an open aperture correcting the spherical aberration at each focal distance is read from the data table 22 and the data are given to the iris control section 13c to limit the open aperture in response to each focal distance.
