To provide an impact-absorbing fiber rope not only capable of reducing damage which workers receive because of load by dropping impact, but also having excellent rope strength, stiffness and good handleability.

This impact-absorbing fiber rope is obtained by twisting polyamide fibers having ≥7.0 cN/dtex strength, ≥10% intermediate elongation in 4.73 cN/dtex load, 20-30% breaking elongation and ≤0.15 cN/dtex heat shrinkage stress at 110°C together. In the fiber rope, preferably, a part of the fiber is impregnated with a resin, and the fiber rope has ≥49 KN strength and ≤45% breaking elongation and ≤8.0 KN maximum impact load.
