PURPOSE: To prepare a resin composition giving a molded article having improved gloss and weld strength, by compounding a specific ABS resin with a specific copolymer of an alkenylaromatic monomer and an unsaturated dicarboxylic acid anhydride.
CONSTITUTION: The objective resin composition containing 2W30% rubbery polymer is prepared by compounding (A) a copolymer or graft copolymer having an intrinsic viscosity of 0.35W0.60 (in methyl ketone at 30°C) and an unsaturated dicarboxylic acid anhydride content of 5W35% and obtained by the copolymerization of an alkenylaromatic monomer and an unsaturated dicarboxylic acid anhydride, and if necessary a vinyl monomer in the presence or absence of a rubbery polymer having a glass transition temperature of ≤0°C and (B) a rubber-reinforced thermoplastic resin containing a graft polymer having a grafting ratio of 40W120% and composed of 5W60% butadiene-based rubbery polymer and 40W95% mixture of an alkenylaromatic monomer and a vinyl cyanide monomer, etc., and containing a matrix resin having an intrinsic viscosity of 0.35W0.6.
