PURPOSE: To rapidly impregnate organic impregnating liquid or the like on the outside surfaces of the work by dipping the porous work whose inside has been suction- vacuumed into the impregnating liquid.
CONSTITUTION: The specified amount of impregnating liquid is beforehand stored in a vessel 9 of an atmospherically open state. On the other hand, a set plate 11 having an exhaust hole 4 is tightly fitted via packing 10 to the edge part of the work 3'. When the air is exhausted through the exhaust hole 4, the inside spacing 12 of the work 3' is vacuumed and the cavities corresponding to the pores in the work 3' are also evacuated. When the work 3' is next dipped in impregnating liquid 2, the impregnating liquid 2 is open to the atmosphere and the work 3' is in a vacuum state and therefore a differential pressure occurs, causing the impregnation to progress. It is also possible to perform batch treatment by dipping a plurality of the works simultaneously into the vessel 9.
