Abstract:
To prevent occurrence of damage such as cracking in an imprinting mold even when an uneven pattern is formed on the structural base material of a disk type storage medium by heat imprinting.
An imprinting mold blank 1 to become the base of the imprinting mold 5 for forming the uneven pattern on the structural base material of the disk like storage medium is provided with: a substrate 2 having a thermal expansion coefficient of ≥70×10-7/°C in a range of 80-350°C; and a patterning layer 3 which has a thermal expansion coefficient lower than that of the substrate 2 and forms the uneven pattern laminated on the substrate 2.
