Abstract:
To provide a method of disassembly/reassembly of papillomavirus VLPs.
This invention provide a method of disassembly/reassembly of papillomavirus VLPs. The resultant VLPs have enhanced homogeneity, express conformational and neutralizing epitopes, and therefor are useful prophylactic and diagnostic agents for papillomavirus infection. Further, these VLPs can be used to encapsulate desired moieties, e.g. therapeutic or diagnostic, or marker DNA, and the resultant VLPs used as in vivo delivery vehicles or as pseudovirions for evaluating vaccine efficacy.
