To provide an incandescent lamp which is less likely to generate arc discharges among filament windings and has proper luminous efficiency, and to provide lighting equipment with this incandescent lamp arranged therein.
The incandescent lamp 1 comprises a cylindrical glass bulb 2 in which 80 to 95 vol.% of xenon gas and 5 to 20 vol.% of nitrogen gas are sealed; a filament 3 which is made of a double-coiled tungsten wire 9 having 0.2 to 0.5 mm pitch, laid along the center axis in the longer direction of the glass bulb 2, having 10 to 15 mm of a light emitter 10, a vibration controller 11 of which one end 6a is put at the center of the lengthwise direction of the light emitter 10 that controls the vibration of the filament 3; and an anchor line 6 with other end 6b sealed in the glass bulb 2, and fixed to one end 8a of the bulb.
