Title:
INDUCTIVE PROMOTER REGION ORIGINATING FROM TOBACCO
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2001069989
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

To obtain a new nucleic acid molecule capable of inducting expression of a gene in plants and used for creating the plants for decomposing environment-polluting materials by including a specific base sequence and a DNA of inductive cytochrome P450 promoter region comprising the complimentary chain to the base sequence.

This inducing promoter region is a new nucleic acid molecule having the inductive cytochrome P450 promoter region comprising a base sequence expressed by the formula and its complimentary chain or a DNA comprising a nucleic acid molecule in which at least one nonessential sequence in the aforesaid inductive cytochrome P450 promoter region is substituted and/or deficient so that at least 50% of the bases are maintained and/or bases corresponding to ≤50% of the nonessential sequence are added to at least one nonessential sequence in the aforesaid inductive cytochrome P450 promoter and maintaining a promoter function of the inductive cytochrome P450 promoter. The new nucleic acid molecule is useful for the creation and the line of transgenic plants in which extraneous genes are introduced, above all, plants for monitoring the environment and those for decomposing environment-polluting materials.
