The picture data are continuously read out and stored until there is no original 1 on the feeder part 2 when the capacity Q does not reach the capacity LMT, but when the capacity Q reaches the capacity LMT, a message for ending the reading of the original 1 is displayed and the picture data already read out and stored in the hard disk 5 are transmitted by an electronic mail without reading out remaining originals 1.
