To provide an infrared gas analyzer and its calibration method dispensing with calibration gas or a storing gas cylinder when operating calibration.
In this infrared gas analyzer having a reference cell wherein reference gas is sealed and a sample cell wherein sample gas is circulated, the measuring object component concentration in the sample gas is detected by utilizing the difference of the absorption quantity in infrared light passing through the cells. The analyzer is equipped with the reference cell wherein the reference gas including a prescribed concentration of the measuring object component is enclosed, the sample cell wherein the sample gas is circulated, a shielding plate for shielding selectively infrared light entering the reference cell, and an exhaust means for discharging the sample gas in the sample cell when operating the calibration.
