Abstract:

PURPOSE: To increase the number of data carriers produced per one work cycle without lowering capacity or quality under a condition customary to a single mold technique presently.

CONSTITUTION: In an injection molding or injection embossing machine for producing a disk-shaped data carrier, for example, CD including injection units 10, 11, a molding apparatus 13 having a fixed part 14 and a movable part 15 and a closing device 22 for the movable part 15 of the molding apparatus, at least two juxtaposed indivisually attached and temp. controlled molds 16, 17 including a fixed mold section and a movable mold section, indivisual injection units 10, 11 for the respective molds 16, 17 and a single closing unit 22 for all of the molds 16, 17 are provided.
