Abstract:

To provide a fuel injection valve and its control method for further easily reducing the size and cost, in the fuel injection valve capable of changing a fuel injection rate.

This injection rate variable fuel injection valve has a nozzle body 2 having first and second nozzle ports 5 and 6, first and second nozzle port opening-closing valves 7 and 8 concentrically arranged in the nozzle body 2 and respectively opening and closing the first and second nozzle ports 5 and 6, first and second energizing means 11 and 12 for respectively energizing the first and second nozzle port opening-closing valves 7 and 8 in the valve closing direction, and a valve opening means for driving the first and second nozzle port opening-closing valves 7 and 8 in the valve opening direction. The injection rate variable fuel injection valve 100 is characterized in that the valve opening means is constituted by including first and second armatures 15 and 16 respectively independently arranged to the first and second nozzle port opening-closing valves 7 and 8, and an electromagnetic means 14 of a single constitution for operating electromagnetic force on both of these; and its control method is provided.
