Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate no ink discharge or an abnormal discharge by incorporating opposed electrodes for discharging ink from an ink nozzle, and opposed electrodes for separating the ink discharged from the nozzle from the ink retained in an ink chamber.
SOLUTION: Auxiliary electrodes 101 of second opposed electrodes are formed independently of segment electrodes 10 in a surface of a recess 9 of a glass board 4 oppositely to a plurality of diaphragms 51. The electrodes 101 are opposed to independent four pluralities of the diaphragms 51 so that the each auxiliary electrode conducts as one electrode. Continued to a main operation of discharging an ink by charging and discharging between segment electrodes 10 and the diaphragms 51, the electrodes 101 and the diaphragms 51 are charged and discharged therebetween, thereby conducting an auxiliary operation for sucking a meniscus to an ink chamber 5. Accordingly, an ink column discharged from the nozzle 1 by the main operation is effectively separated by the auxiliary operation.
