Abstract:
To provide an ink jet recording method capable of recording an image with high productivity by ejecting ink normally while using an ink jet recording apparatus equipped with a sub-tank that stores an aqueous ink without impregnating an absorber with the ink.SOLUTION: An ink jet recording method uses an ink jet recording apparatus comprising a sub-tank storing an aqueous ink without impregnating absorber with the ink, a filter disposed at a connection between the sub-tank and a recording head, and a choke suction mechanism. The aqueous ink contains a surfactant comprising a nonionic surfactant. The ink jet recording method includes a step of sucking through a discharge port by the choke suction mechanism to put the inside of the sub-tank into a decompressed state, and subsequently releasing the decompressed state to supply the aqueous ink to the sub-tank and the recording head, where (i) the inside of the sub-tank is sucked while heating the aqueous ink in the recording head, or (ii) the aqueous ink in the recording head is heated after supplying the aqueous ink to the sub-tank.SELECTED DRAWING: None
