Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ink that causes few coarse particles and has excellent discharge stability and storage stability.SOLUTION: An ink contains water, a color material, and a compound represented by the general formula (1) in the figure, where m is an integer from 2 to 16, n is an integer from 1 to 5, p is an integer to make the weight average molecular weight of the compound 5,000 to 25,000. The ink further contains a copolymer having a specific structural unit, so that a high image density is achieved even when recorded on plain paper and beading (mottling) is not generated even in high-speed printing.SELECTED DRAWING: None
