Abstract:
To provide a polishing tool which is excellent in polishing performance and can continuously polish the entire inner surface of a metal pipe with drawn tip, and a polishing method.SOLUTION: This polishing tool is configured in such a manner that a polyurethane foam resin is spirally wound, firmly adhered and cured on a surface of a core material made by twisting two aramid fibers. The polyurethane foam resin contains polishing abrasive grains with excellent polishability, and abrasive grains are deposited on a surface of a polishing body. Air bubbles, which are generated in a process of foaming the resin, remain in the polishing body, and the polishing body is compression-deformed by external pressure. According to this polishing method, the polishing tool is inserted in an inner surface of a metal pipe with drawn tip, a core material is reciprocationally pulled in a center axis direction of the metal pipe, and thus, the entire inner surface of the metal pipe is polished by rubbing while pressurizing the same with resilience of the polishing body.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
