Abstract:
To provide an inorganizing treating method of used ion exchange resin treatment eluate capable of inorganizing C-14o in an organic form included in the used ion exchange resin treatment eluate efficiently at low cost.
A radioactive material included in the used ion exchange resin is eluted by acid liquid and separated to acquire the eluate, and the eluate is introduced into a decomposition vessel and fluidized. During fluidization in the decomposition vessel, the eluate is irradiated with an ultraviolet ray and ozone is blown therein, and the oxidation of the eluate is accelerated, and C-14o in the organic form included in the eluate is converted into C-14i in an inorganic form.
