Abstract:

PURPOSE: To obtain an insulator for MHD power generator, producible in short time at a low cost, having excellent mass-productivity and keeping the functions as insulator such as insulation property, gas-tightness and corrosion resistance.

CONSTITUTION: A dense thin film 14 composed of high-purity boron nitride is integrally formed on the surface of a sintered boron nitride 13 or a formed boron nitride 15. The thin film is preferably formed by chemical vapor deposition process (CVD process) or physical vapor deposition process (PVD process).
