Abstract:

PURPOSE: To make it possible to perform PWM control for making the current of an inductive load variable by suitably changing the ON/OFF-duty ratio of an Nch-type MOS transistor.

CONSTITUTION: When the current flowing through an inductive load 8 is quickly reduced, an input terminal 300 is made to be L, and a Pch-type MOS transistor 3 is turned OFF. Thus, the sum voltage of the threshold voltage of an Nch-type MOS transistor 2, the forward voltage of a diode 5 and the Zener voltage of a Zener diode 7 is decreased through a grounding terminal 400. Then, the Nch-type MOS transistor 2 is turned ON, and the current flows through a diode 6 and the Nch-type MOS transistor 2. At this time, since the potential difference of the Zener diode 7 is large, the energy, which is consumed between the source and the drain of the Nch-type MOS transistor 2, becomes large, and the energy stored in the inductive load 8 is quickly discharged. Thus, the current can be quickly decreased.
