Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide a method for allowing a user to interactively designate the mapping constraining the color of a certain color space to another color space.
CONSTITUTION: An input and output space and default mapping are designated (step 30), an input and output colors or their set are identified for all desired input color areas, and conversion constraint is defined (steps 32, 34, and 36). A built-in mapping strategy is selected from this constraint (step 38), and also unconstrained color configuration is performed (step 40). The result is evaluated (step 42), and when there is no problem, the storage of conversion (step 46) and the conversion of an image (step 48) is performed.
