Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a braid which is capable of making special properties of fiber yarns effectively realized even if special fibers are only partially used for covering a fiber member.SOLUTION: A covering fiber member covers the entire outer periphery of a core member in a state of being adhered on the core member. The covering fiber member has a stripe part having a prescribed width with respect to the circumferential direction at a part in a peripheral direction. The stripe part is continuously installed in the longitudinal direction of the covering fiber member and has a meandering form having a sine wave shape in the longitudinal direction. The covering fiber member is produced by knitting a plurality of fiber yarns and braids around the core member in a cylinder shape. The covering fiber member is formed by knitting respective fibers around the core member with tension applied to the core member and the respective fiber yarns. Thus, the core member and the covering fiber member get adhered under a non-load state by an elastic restoration force of the core member and the respective fiber yarns.
