Abstract:

PURPOSE: To obtain the subject intermediate and colorant suitable for a reactive and compatible intermediate substance by successively reacting an initial reactant having a specific glycidol component, epoxide reactant intermediate and an epoxide reactant material.

CONSTITUTION: An initial reactant (A) having a glycidol residue and a glycidol component containing first hydroxyl and second hydroxyl is at first reacted with an epoxide reactant material (B) containing 3 or more C second hydroxyl forming epoxide and subsequently reacted with an epoxy reactant material (C) containing first hydroxyl forming epoxide. Herein, by the addition of the component C, at first, the second hydroxyl-containing epoxide segment directly bonded to the first oxy region of the component A or directly bonded to an intermediate epoxide residue up to about 10 is formed and, next, the greater part of a first hydroxyl group-containing poly (oxyalkylene) chain or branch is stopped.
