Abstract:
To provide an intermittent coating device capable of performing intermittent coating without using a recovery valve to increase a transfer speed of a base material, so as to effectively suppress swellings and dents at a coating start edge and a coating end edge of the intermittent coating even if an opening/closing speed of an opening/closing valve is increased.SOLUTION: An intermittent coating device 1 for intermittently applying a coating liquid L to a base material S, comprises: a coating nozzle 2 for discharging the coating liquid toward the base material; a coating liquid supply part 3 for supplying the coating liquid to the coating nozzle; an opening/closing valve 4 arranged in a coating liquid supply flow path between the coating nozzle and the coating liquid supply part to switch supply/stop of the coating liquid; a liquid retaining part 5 for retaining the in-flowing coating liquid in the coating liquid supply flow path between the coating liquid supply part and the opening/closing valve; and a pressure receiving volume variable part 6 provided in the liquid retaining part, and changing a volume of the liquid retaining part in response to reception of pressure variation in the coating liquid supply flow path caused by switching operation of the opening/closing valve, so as to adjust pressure fluctuation in the coating liquid supply flow path.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
