To improve fuel economy performance and output of an internal combustion engine, by accurately condensing and separating an unreformed fuel component remaining in reformed gas from a reformed fuel component, in the internal combustion engine with a fuel reforming mechanism.
A condensing component different in a boiling point included in the reformed gas generated by a reformer 4, is condensed by making working pressure of two condensers 16 and 19 different in a condensing plant 9. That is, pressure of the downstream side condenser 19 is increased more than pressure of the upstream side condenser 16, and unreformed high boiling point liquid fuel (low octane number fuel) is condensed by the upstream side condenser 16, and reformed low boiling point liquid fuel (high octane number fuel) and gas fuel are condensed and separated by the downstream side condenser 16.
