PURPOSE: To eliminate excessive humidification, improve the ironing finish, and prevent the dew condensation in an iron board in an iron device provided with an iron main body and the iron board for stretching wrinkles on clothes.
CONSTITUTION: An iron device is constituted of an iron main body 7 and an iron board 8 for stretching wrinkles on clothes, the iron main body 7 is provided with a base 12 heated by a heater 13 and a humidifier 17 humidifying the clothes, and the iron board 8 is provided with a work board 18 holding an air-passable mat 19, a main body cover 21 supporting the work board 18, a main body case 23 storing a fan 26 connected to a motor 25, and a humidity sensor provided on part of the air passage of the fan 26. The humidification quantity of the humidifier 17 provided on the iron main body 7 is controlled in response to the output of the humidity sensor to eliminate excessive humidification.
