Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an iron capable of ironing clothes and the like comfortably by jetting only steam from a jetting part without leaving hot water droplets.SOLUTION: In an iron, water is allowed to drop in a drop receiving part 36 in a heated vaporization chamber 8, and through a jetting hole 9 from the vaporization chamber 8, steam is jetted to the outside. Here, the whole inner wall of a passage 44 leading to the jetting hole 9 from the drop receiving part 36 of the vaporization chamber 8 is coated with a hydrophilic film 45. Even when water drops to the drop receiving part 36 of the vaporization chamber 8 at a high speed, the water is expanded inside the water passage 44 and is allowed to surely vaporize. Thus, only steam can be jetted from the jetting hole 9 without leaving hot water droplets.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
