Abstract:

To make an ironing board compact by providing the bottom ends of supporting legs, which are freely foldably disposed on the rear surface of a board body on which ironing is executed, with changing means for making the bottom end positions of the supporting legs freely changeable in a folding state.

This ironing board has a board body 1 of nearly a boat shape in plane view. A pair of the front and rear supporting legs 2 and 3 are freely foldably mounted at the rear surface of this board body 1. These supporting legs 2 and 3 are formed relatively long to enable a user to carry out ironing in a standing posture and are formed by pivotally connecting nearly intermediate parts to each other by means of a pin 8. The top end of the one supporting leg 2 is pivoted to the ear end of a frames 7 for reinforcement of the board body 1 by a fulcrum shaft 9 and the top end of the other supporting leg 3 is supported to a sliding member 11 of a rectangular shape movable along the frames 7 for reinforcement by means of a fulcrum shaft 10. The respective supporting legs 2 and 3 are made freely separable at the lower leg parts 2B and 3B from the upper leg parts 2A and 3A and are interconnected and fixed by screws bodies 20 at the time of use.
