To provide a vacuum ironing board which is usable at home.

An air-permeable matt 4 is covered with a cloth cover 5 to form an ironing board. Behind a supporting net 3 of the ironing board, a box 2 is fixed to form a sucking room 6. With an air-drawing port 7 fixed on the sucking room, a sucking hose B in a home vacuum cleaner A is connected. Air is sucked with the vacuum cleaner from the sucking room 6. Steam generated from a steam iron is drawn from the backside of the mat 4 to allow the steam to go in up to the backside of an item to be ironed. The steam is drawn and recovered.
